Beauty will save the world
No matter what Trump says, we still believe in climate change. And we are very concerned about it. But we also think that we can still do our bit to save our planet.
The textile industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. The workshops that produce our designs are in Madrid and comply with environmental regulations. However, as we are a small company, we have no control over the way in which the fabrics that we use are made. And we want to compensate the environment for any contamination that we are unable to avoid.
In collaboration with We Forest, we have joined efforts to restore the environment to combat climate change by planting trees. And we do this thanks to you. We created the ‘beauty will save the world’ movement, which means that by the end of the year, we are going to plant a tree for every online sale.
In 2018, we managed to restore one hectare of forest in Zambia by planting 473 trees, in 2019 we planted 1,000 trees and by 2020, we want to plant 3,000 . Will we succeed?
The planting is done in the tropics, when forests and trees are most effective at cooling the temperature. Tanzania, India, Brazil and Zambia are some of the areas where the reforestation programme takes place. In addition to environmental solutions, planting trees provides benefits for the local communities in these countries.
